(upbeat music) - Utah Symphony Utah Opera is performing the perfect holiday concert, featuring a variety of festive favor.

It's at the Holiday Pops Extravaganza.

And here to tell us more about the performance is Adia Thornton.

Hi, Adia.

Thank you for coming- - Thank you so much for having me.

- to share all this with us.

So this was such a huge hit last year, you're bringing it back.

- Absolutely.

So we even had someone respond to our survey last year saying, "If this won't get you in the holiday spirit, nothing will."

So we knew we had to bring it back and just keep on bringing that holiday spirit.

- I know, it's great.

So for all the Grinches out there, this is the perfect thing to do.

- 100% - So, and a great family concert, we should say.

- Absolutely.

What we are bringing is some of your favorites, like "Sleigh Bells," "Winter Wonderland," with that amazing orchestral energy of the Utah Symphony.

We're also bringing some amazing vocal lists.

And so that together brings this really dynamic energy, and we weave together this delightful story.

Santa makes an appearance, and it's gonna be a new story this time and new songs.

So if you came last year, you should definitely come again - [Mary] Because it's going to be different, including the guest performers will be different.

- [Adia] Yes, yes.

- [Mary] Yeah, and tell us a little about them.

- Yeah, absolutely.

We have Shayna Steele and Chester Gregory, and they have these gorgeous, big voices.

They've sung Broadway and soul, and it's going to just bring a little extra magic to our stage.

- Which is wonderful, and I know you've got a gingerbread theme going.

- Absolutely, so Abravanel Hall may or may not be invaded by gingerbread men at this point.

(Mary and Adia laughing) Just an army of them have descended upon us.

Just lots of magic.

- Lots of magic everywhere.

- Yes.

- And really, it's a perfect way to get people into the spirit.

- Yep.

- Yeah.

- And just bringing your whole family, bring your friends, and just make this a moment for yourselves.

- Wonderful.
