(bright music) - Utah Nonprofits Association advocates for nonprofit organizations and equips them with training, resources, and more to help advance their missions.
And here to tell us more are Jill Bennett and Saru Ramanan.
Hi, ladies.
Thank you for being here.
So Jill, let's start with you and talk about just the impact and the role of Utah Nonprofits.
- So our role is to support Utah's over 11,000 nonprofits who exist to make our lives simply better.
We have nonprofits in our state that do everything from nurturing neonatal babies who wouldn't have human breast milk to thrive, to organizations that help people frankly die with dignity in a cared for facility, rather than being left to find their way on the streets.
- Wow.
11,000 nonprofits.
That's so impressive.
It's great.
And Saru, talk more about what the organization offers.
- Of course, so Utah Nonprofits Association, our services are available to every nonprofit in the state, regardless of cause, size, geographic area, mission, even 501(c) tax exempt status.
And what we do is we provide direct support by way of excellent professional education, resources, cost saving benefits, and really a sense of community and connection, peer support.
So we create spaces for nonprofits to connect with each other, to learn and to really promote sustainability across the whole sector.
- Yeah, and I know collaboration's very big for you.
- Yeah, so part of our new strategic plan really emphasizes collaboration and puts UNA in the role of being a convener and facilitator.
And it's not just collaboration among nonprofits, but we really want to engage all stakeholders in Utah.
So the business community, individuals, academia, the public sector.
So we really wanna be kind of the intersection of all these amazing change makers and create space for folks to really work together on solutions.
- Great, great.
And I know advocacy is big, and I thank you both for being here.
Thank you so much.
- Thank you.
