(upbeat music) - Tracy Aviary's Light Walk is back for its third year where guests can experience and enjoy the aviary grounds, surrounded by thousands of lights.

Lora Eschtruth is here to tell us more.

Hi Lora, thank you so much for being here.

I know it's such a beautiful setting and to have all those lights, like you've got thousands of lights.

- Yes, yeah, thousands of lights and we really try to just enhance the natural beauty of the aviary.

- Yeah, I mean you have all those beautiful walking paths.

It's really lovely.

But you have some other things.

You've got new merchandise and treats.

- Yes, yeah, this year we have some fun merchandise in our nature store that you can purchase.

We have light up necklaces and some headbands and also some cute like glasses when you look through it changes how the lights look.

So those are a lot of fun.

We also have some treats.

There's cider, hot chocolate, pretzels, and occasionally we'll have some food vendors too.

- Alright, great.

And I know people shouldn't go expecting to see the birds.

It's cold.

So, yeah, and talk about the special thing you're doing December 21st.

- Yes, so that is our candle night.

You can purchase a candle in a memory of a loved one that you've lost, and then we will have a lighted path with all of the candles.

And it's just a really wonderful way to kind of remember all of those loved ones.

- So nice that you do that 'cause it's a hard time, the holidays for people who've lost someone.

So that's a lovely thing to do.

And I know that you can get, when you get one of those candles that are LED, we should let people know they can't burn anything down.

They also get a discount on the ticket price.

- Right, yes.

When you purchase a ticket, you'll get a discount code for $3 off, and that can be used any night of Light Walk.

It doesn't have to be on the 21st.

- Okay, great and it goes through the 31st.

So you could spend your New Year's Eve there.

- Yes, yeah, what a wonderful way to bring in the new year.

- Oh yeah, put on the glasses and walk through the lights.
