(upbeat music) - The Leonardo's "Night at the Museum" New Year's Eve Gala is a celebration for guests 21 and older to enjoy activities, beverages, and a midnight countdown.
And here to tell us more is Justin Anderson.
Hi, Justin.
- Welcome back.
- Thank you for having me.
- So you've done these before, but this year a little different.
- This is a little different.
We're experimenting.
We had a wonderful event in November in partnership with PBS Utah.
And what we learned is that people who come to the museum after hours still want the whole museum experience.
They want to do the activities, they want to interact with the exhibits, and they wanna learn something.
And so we've changed it.
It's a little less focused on just the party.
And now we have all of our exhibits open, some special activities, and some crafts and things like that.
So it should be something completely new, and hopefully fun.
- Yeah.
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah.
No, you have the best exhibits, can I just say, so maybe talk about what some of the exhibits are that will be up and some of those activities.
- Well, we have our permanent flight exhibit that's really popular.
You can go up into a full size C-131 airplane, and if you're really daring, you can come down the tube slide when you're ready to exit.
That's really fun for adults, you know, with these parties.
We also have our artificial intelligence exhibit, that's an immersive exhibit.
You can go in and enjoy the projections all around you while learning a little something about where AI is now, and where it could go in the future.
We also have a couple of art exhibits up.
One is on water with photography from this world renowned photographer Paul Blackmore.
And then we have "Spiraling Upwards," which is fluid dynamics.
So it's sort of related to water, but this is more about where the science and the art of of fluids really kind of come together.
- Wonderful.
And they get all this and a great party.
- Yes.
Yep.
That's the goal.
- So it's the perfect place to be for your New Year's Eve.
- I think so.
- So thank you so much for it and for doing this and being here, thanks.
- Oh, thank you, Mary.
- And if you'd like to know more about that big New Year's Eve Gala at the Leonardo Museum, it will be December 31st, of course, 9:30 PM it starts.
