(upbeat music) (upbeat music ends) - Prepare for a night of murder and mayhem as PBS Utah presents a "Masterpiece" double feature that's bound to keep you guessing.

PBS Utah's Laura Durham joins us now with your special invitation to solve a fictional crime and perhaps maybe even win some prizes along the way, right, Laura?

- Yeah.

We love prizes at PBS Utah.

- Of course.

So I hear this double feature is a first.

- Yes, we've never done a double feature before.

Usually people are drama fans who are used to our "Masterpiece" screenings.

They get to see the first episode of the new season before it's broadcast of "All Creatures Great and Small."

We've done one... What's it called?

"Marlow Murder Club" a couple times.

But this is the first time we're showing both the first episode of "Marlow Murder Club" and "Marble Hall Murders."

- Wow, so it's double feature, double trouble kind of for people to try to solve.

And you're making this a fun-filled event, not only doing the screening, but some other activities in between as well, right?

- Yeah, so we'll watch the first hour of the "Marlow Murder Club," season three is coming up.

And then after that, we'll do a fun intermission.

We'll provide some cookies.

There's always concessions at the Murray Theater that people can purchase, but we'll also do some giveaways and maybe a special prize for someone who solves Who Done It?

- Oh, gosh.

And I know so many people love to guess and try to solve, and so having that kind of prize or carrot at the end of the screening is just adding to the fun of the event.

Tell me why people love cozy mysteries with PBS so much.

- I have so many theories about this, and I think one of them has to do with kind of the climate we're in right now.

We love to see someone solving a problem.

And it's so nice to see people who are like you.

So a cozy mystery, if you didn't know, is usually an amateur sleuth.

Someone who's not a professional, but they get involved with the professional detectives, and they have like a special sixth sense about solving this crime.

And so, I don't know, it's so fun because anyone could be that sleuth, right?

- So fun, so relatable.

And yeah, anyone could be it.

It could be someone who's watching right now.
