And Carin Crowe is here with more details about the organization and the important work they do.
Hi Carin, thank you for being here.
You do really amazing things.
- Thank you.
- In the community.
So talk about some of your programs, but most importantly, how you've grown.
- Yes.
So we are in a massive growth period right now within our organization.
We provide critical home repairs, new builds, new homes, and we have our ReStore, which is a home improvement thrift store.
We have expanded just recently into Davis County.
So currently, we serve Salt Lake, Tooele, and Davis Counties.
- Wow.
And I know you're looking for land in those three counties.
- We are.
We're always looking for land.
We like to laugh and say that we like ugly land.
So if there's any developers that are out there that are, they have a strange shaped lot, we would be happy to receive that as a donation in any one of the three counties.
- Ah, that's great.
And are there other ways that businesses could get involved with what you do?
- Absolutely.
We are so grateful for the business partnerships that we have.
Our businesses, what they can do is they can sponsor a build day, a corporate build day, and come out and swing a hammer as volunteers.
It's a great team-building opportunity.
They can donate, they can come in and volunteer in our ReStore as well.
We do have a number of businesses and organizations that come in and help to volunteer.
But really, our organization is dependent upon the community, and so we're so grateful for that.
- Yeah.
And what are some things like ordinary people like me could do?
- Well, you can always donate, but on top of that, sitting on our board or sitting on one of our committees, or just coming in and helping out either on the construction site or in the ReStore.
- Okay.
Wonderful.
Well, you are doing incredible things, and I hope you get the land you need.
Thank you.
- Thank you.
Thank you.
