(bright music) - How well do you really know Utah?
Uncover hidden gems, surprising stories, and new connections with Community Quest.
Dustin Khong is here with more details on this free passport.
Welcome, Dustin.
- Yeah, thanks, Liz.
Thanks for having me.
- So tell me about Community Quest.
It seems like it's a passport to all kinds of adventures in Utah.
- Yeah, it's a completely free statewide passport that we really tried putting together with our communities.
It stretches all corners of the state of Utah, and it details all the places like restaurants, stores, museums, festivals that you can attend that are all hosted and led by our multicultural communities.
- So it's like a little passport of joy that people can use to go to all kinds of fun things.
And I love that it's something that is great for people who might be new to Utah, as well as people who may think they've seen it all and have done it all.
- It absolutely is.
Whether you've been here for 50 years, five days, five months, no matter the amount of time that you have spent in Utah, I guarantee you you'll find something new to uncover in the state of Utah that you'll really enjoy.
Going with your friends, your family, your loved ones, anyone, I think you'll really be happy with just finding some of these hidden gems in Utah.
- And another thing I love about it is that it wasn't created for the community, but by the community, right?
- Exactly, yeah, every single place that you see in the passport, every single page that you see on the passport stem from a conversation that we had with our community members.
So these are local businesses that we've talked to to get on the passport.
These are festival organizers that want you to come and experience some of the new traditions and the ongoing traditions that they have at these places.
So yeah, there's just so much that we tried to cram pack full in this passport, and - - Including some art as well, right?
- Including some art as well.
So in the back of every single passport is actually a local art piece created by local artist Dallas Andrew Graham.
His Absolutely Amazing Animals project, you can find it between Second and Third South on Floral Street.
These larger than life creations are a fusion between endangered animals and thriving animals, and it's just something that we think is awesome to put together.
- And it's beautiful.
Thank you so much for sharing all of this.
