(upbeat music) - Art and Soup is a charity event hosted by Community Nursing Services in partnership with the restaurants, caterers, and Utah artists.

All proceeds from the event, go toward helping Utahans in need.

Kimberly Dansie is here with all the details.

Hi Kimberly, thanks for being here.

Always nice to have you back.

- Yeah thank you happy to be here.

- Yeah so you've been doing this 36 years, tell me about this year's Art and Soup.

- Yeah so it'll be a similar format to other years, we have 60 artists who'll be there selling their artworks.

All kinds of mediums, we have sculptors, we have oil paintings, photography, a lot of different type of art for sale.

And then 20 restaurants will be sharing samples of soup, other goodies so that people can kind of snack while they're shopping for art for a cause.

- Which is a great way to shop for art.

- Yes, exactly.

- So what are some of the restaurants you have coming?

- Yeah so Market Street's back in this year, we're so excited to have some clam chowder at the event.

And we also have Grand America, they've been a long-term supporters and they're back in and they do beautiful displays.

Their soups are always marvelous.

- Wonderful and and where is it again this year?

- It's at Mountain America, where the parking's very easy so yeah.

- We always like that, alright.

And tell us about Community Nursing Services, what services you provide.

- So we are a healthcare company that provides home care services.

So we take care of people of all ages, pediatric patients, people in their senior years that have healthcare needs at home.

- And is there some way they need to qualify to use you?

- Yeah a physician will say, "You could benefit from home-based services."

That's kind of the qualification, having skill needs.

- Okay, okay and so all the proceeds of course go to your program so people can buy great art, they can support local artists, have local food, and help what you do.

- Exactly.

- Yeah.
