(upbeat music) (upbeat music ends) - Well, here's your pass to explore nature, art for a good cause at the Tracy Aviary.
The Utah Parent Center invites you to check out Born to Fly, a free celebration that supports Utah's disability community.
Kaili Aiono joins us now with all the details.
Kaili, thank you so much for being here.
- Yeah, thank you for having me.
So, as you mentioned, my name is Kaili.
I'm the director of development over at the Utah Parent Center, and we are so fortunate to host amazing events that are free to the public always.
If you don't know, every state has a resource center for disability in Utah, and we are the designated one.
We are a nonprofit, but this event that we have coming up, it really is such a special night.
It is at the Tracy Aviary, as you mentioned, which they have just been so phenomenal.
A little history is that we're kind of the first crew to bring something so large scale to the Tracy Aviary, which has been very fun and exciting.
- Oh, paint the picture for us.
When you say large scale, what are some of the things that people are gonna be able to experience?
- Yeah, so if you attend the event, we have over 60 vendors that are coming.
It is a resource fair.
So all of these amazing companies that are gonna table at the event, they will offer resources to the community.
You know, having a loved one or a child with a disability can create some roadblocks or challenges in life, and all of these companies have similar mindsets and mission to really just wanna build and elevate our community in an inclusive way.
Aside from providing their resources, they're also gonna have so many fun activities.
We'll have music.
There will be a bird show.
We have an inclusion talent show, which will run in the middle of the event, so from 6:00 to 8:00 PM you'll catch me MC'ing that.
We have just some amazing talent, but really just a fun night to come and celebrate disability in such an inclusive way.
- Oh, I love to hear that.
Well, thank you so much for stopping by and sharing this with us.
If you would like to gain more information about this event, it's happening at the Tracy Aviary at Liberty Park, June 12th from 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
It's the 2026 Family Festival, Born to Fly, put on by the Utah Parent Center.
