The Sawtooth National Recreation Area
The Sawtooth National Recreation Area is over 50 years old; and this collection of Outdoor Idaho programs pays tribute to what many consider to be the “crown jewel” of Idaho recreation. Congress created the SNRA on August 22, 1972, “to preserve the natural, scenic, historic, pastoral and fish and wildlife values of the area and to enhance recreation activities on the land within.”
